Hello! For those that don’t know me, or haven’t seen my work before, I am the Editor-in-Chief of Odyssey at Champlain College.

With over 1,200 communities across the nation and more than 14,000 content creators, it’s easy to miss or overlook a creator who is producing great content. As a way to help you make sure you’re not missing one of those creators right here at Champlain College, I plan to highlight someone from time to time that I think is creating exceptional content.

This week, I chose to highlight Meghan Neely.

Meghan has been using Odyssey to write about her time in Ireland and why studying abroad is so important — now more than ever. Check out some of her latest articles here!

Meghan has been with Odyssey since November 2016. I recently asked her what she's gotten out of creating content for Odyssey:

"[I joined] right around the election, and I wanted to use [Odyssey] as a platform to make myself heard. So far, I've gotten a lot of good practice out of the experience. It's improved my writing and the community itself is great."

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
