CHAARG stands for "Changing Health, Attitudes, + Actions to Recreate Girls." This on-campus organization has brought its mantra to schools all across the country and has improved girls' lives who have decided to join. While each CHAARG experience is unique, one of the basic assets of being in this organization is the weekly workout in which there is a studio session either on or off campus with a local fitness studio.

There is also a small group aspect where you can meet weekly with your small group members and lead to either workout, hang out, or anything in between.

I am so glad that I joined CHAARG. Exercise is my form of stress relief and many times when I am stressed out, I tend to skip working out because I tell myself I don't have the time. That cycle is toxic for me. Joining something like CHAARG has helped me to build my schedule to allow time workout, breathe, and break the cycle.

It has allowed me to do this stress relieving thing that I already love around a group of empowering women who empower each other.

After a long day, CHAARG is something that picks me up, whether or not I was looking forward to working out, I always feel better once I do it. It can build friendships and it can teach you to be strong even when you feel like you have no energy left after a long day of classes and schoolwork.

Your small group becomes a group that you look forward to seeing. It is a group of new friendly faces around campus which is especially beneficial for a new freshman. The first semester can be especially difficult and it's nice to have CHAARG as something positive in your week that you can always count on. If you are looking for a place with great people, energy, and girl power, CHAARG is the organization for you.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
