1. The Residents

Everyone has a different thought on the elderly in nursing homes but I believe they are one of a kind. Every resident has a different personality and that is the best part of being a CNA. Residents can be having their bad moments and good moments but let’s not think about the negatives. Because in the end the positive outcomes far out lead the negatives. Every person in that home has a story and that story is amazing to here over and over again.

2. Facility

The facility is not just your workplace but your second home, the place you spend hours on end at with your other family. Your coworkers become part of that family you will love and never forget. Your coworkers are the people that come in handy when you need someone to talk to and help you when you’re having troubles at work.

3. Smiles

After hearing about residents you should also know that their smiles will be the most amazing thing in your day and will never fail to keep you going. Smiles are something you should never fail to take for grained because that smile could be the thing that keeps you moving. Being a CNA is more than just seeing a smile due to your help it's seeing that smile every day that keeps you going in your everyday. Just remember you can be the reason of that smile or at least a part of that smile.

4. Hard Work

To all you that think being a CNA is a piece of cake then I advise you to take a moment and ask someone who is a CNA about it being so easy. Every person that has taken the Certified Nurse’s assistant classes and worked as one in a facility all know it is no easy. Just like everyone else in this world we have good days and bad days. Sometimes we have to deal with a resident having a bad day and that can lead to others having a bad day. When sometimes we come to work having a bad day due to other life events. In the end, we all have good and bad days but we never forget the true meaning of helping others. We keep on working hard for ourselves but mostly for those that need our help, the residents

5. That good feeling

Have you ever gone out and volunteered somewhere in your community and just get that feeling of satisfaction? It’s just that feeling of helping someone other than yourself that makes you feel so good about your actions. How would it feel to have that feeling every night when you go home after a long day at work? Because CNA’s have this feeling every single night they go home from work. That feeling of helping those residents in the home keep on living their lives to the fullest they can with our extra help.

Being a Certified Nurse’s assistant is like having a Home away from Home.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
