16 Times "Friends" Accurately Depicted How You Felt

"Friends" premiered the year before I was born. Even though it's humor was too mature for me as I was growing up, I can surely appreciate it now. Catching a few episodes as a teenager showed me why the series was so successful. I did not follow the show chronologically, I would just watch it when it came on Nick at Nite.

Once the entire series was put on Netflix, I decided to really see what all the hype was about. It turns out that not only is "Friends" funny, but it is also relatable. Even though characters are older than me and my peers, the situations they get themselves into and the inner turmoils they have are relevant to us at this point in our lives. I hope that the friends that I have made now will last for a long time, and that the memories I create with them are just as fun, if not more, as those in the show. The following are instances when the show hit the nail head on with how we felt.

1. When responsibilities pop up from nowhere... (Run.)

2. When you try to give advice to your childish friends...

3. When you start to realize that life is unfair...

4. Even though you are legally an adult, sometimes, basic functioning is hard.

5. The description you really want to put on your Tinder:

6. When you want people to like you...

7. When you are bored in class...

8. When someone's story is postponing you and your food from having a love affair...

9. When you haven't eaten all day and someone mentions food...

10. When you hear a noise outside late at night...

11. Trying to act sexy for your significant other...

12. When you are at a social event and it is taking too much energy out of you...

13. When you decide to dance, even though you know you are bad at it...

14. When you are arguing with someone and can't think of a response fast enough...

15. When you are so close to rewarding yourself, but....

16. And lastly, when you realize that all you have to offer is your humor...

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

11 Things We Learned From Brooke Davis

"What's more important? What we become or how we become it?"

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:

We all have a person, and when that person makes some new friends, we tend to forget all the great things that can come out of it. Never forget how special they are to you and why you are best friends.
