It has been a little over a month since move in at Centennial Hall at Bowling Green State University and I have been blessed to have met some of the greatest people here. Many of those people happen to be my neighbors on the second floor in the first wing.
1. You always have someone to go to breakfast, lunch, or dinner with.
A quick text in the GroupMe will turn a lonely meal into a group outing. Someone is always ready to go eat when you are.
2. We hang out almost every night.
The lounge is where you will find majority of the floor in the evening, most likely doing homework or watching TV together. But whether it is ordering food for a late night snack, going to football games, heading downtown to go dance or watching High School Musical, we're all in this together.
3. We do homework together.
Somehow most of us multitask and do homework while hanging out in the evenings. It is also very nice when there is someone to ask when you need help. A few of us even keep each other company in the library until one in the morning.
4. Our Residential Advisor couldn't be better.
Tamia (also known as T) acts more like our friend then our R.A. She is the glue holding us together. Just remember that there is no ball in the hall.
5. Doors are always open.
Our dorm doors automatically shut, but almost everyone has something to keep their door open. It is always nice to hear someone say hi as they walk by your room, or even stop in to talk.
6. You have multiple workout buddies.
I don't think anyone wants to gain the freshman fifteen, so if you want to go to the gym, someone will probably go with you. It makes exercise less dreadful.
7. We survived a tornado together.
Which basically means we can survive anything now right?
8. Need something? Just ask.
If you need anything, all you have to do is send a quick in the GroupMe or knock on someone's door and someone is more than likely to help you out, even if it means folding your laundry.
9. If you hear vacuuming in the middle of the night, it's most likely Mitch.
Just ask Maria to confirm.
10. We care about each other.
We don't let each other walk by ourselves in the dark. The guys don't let the girls walk next to the street. They like to make sure us girls are safe and walk between us and the street. We are all open to hearing about each other's lives and giving advice. It is what makes our relationship special.
11. It's like living with 35 siblings you never expected to have.
We tease each other and fight like brothers and sisters, but we all secretly love and care for each other.
