Today's kids and young adults are all consumed by the idea of a cell phones. People are always on their cell phones. They need to Snapchat, Tweet, Facebook and Instagram all of the time. Today all you see is kids and young adults faces glued to the cell phone screen. I am not one to talk though. I know that I have my phone on me 24/7 and I hardly ever put it down. Yet I have noticed that people who rely on their phones are less likely to communicate in person. When people text or talk on the phone they are less likely to talk to that person if they see them walking by. Don't get me wrong cellphones do help communicate with people that you don't see on a daily basis. Such as family and friends in other states or even in the same state but hours away. So I am going to tell you the pros and cons of today's cell phone use.

Pros: There are many pros to cell phones such as talking to family and friends that you do not see on a regular basis. Cell phones also help to communicate with sports teams and other groups that you talk to on social media networks such as Facebook. I also use my phone to face-time my aunt and grandparents while I'm away for the summer. Most people today also use their phones to help them remember appointments or special events. Cell phones are also a good thing because when you want to check the weather on see if your upcoming event will be rained out or if it will be a nice day. Many young adults these days also use cell phones to snapchat and tweet which is where they can post pictures and write statuses on social media for all of their friends to see. These are the pros to cell phone use.

Cons: There is also many cons to using cellphones. Like I know that ever since I got a cell phone I am more likely to text someone then to go up and talk to them in person. Also people are so consumed by social media that they believe everything they read on their phones. They also play games on their phones instead of going outside and being active themselves. They just bury their faces into their phones and hardly look up to see whats going on around them. People with their phones never think for themselves. When they are asked a question they always ask siri or google it. These are the cons of cell phones.

Kids and young adults are consumed by their phones and social media. Yet is it a good thing or a bad thing. Honestly it depends on who you are and how attached you are to your phone. There will always or almost always be pros and cons to having a cell phone.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
