Most people who know me, have heard at least once about Superwoman. Lilly is a Canadian Youtuber who has moved to Los Angeles, and has been taking the world by storm. And to many fans, that’s no shock. She is one of my role models. These are just some of the reasons she’s my role model.

1.She’s 100% real in her content

From her vlogs, YouTube videos and social media, Lilly always keeps it real. When things get rough in her life, she is honest about what is going on. And her fans are supportive, reminding her that it’s okay to be human. Because she really is Superwoman. And when there are topics on social media that grab her attention, she talks about it. Her opinion is not censored and she makes sure that she is true to her own beliefs.

2. Her main goal is to spread positivity

While we live in a time where it seems negativity changes the air in the atmosphere everyday, Lilly focuses on being positive. Although she addresses pressing topics, she knows that the best thing to do is to focus on the positive things that we have ahead of ourselves. Born from a place of darkness, she is able to not only make her day better by creating content but she changes the lives of others. She is one of my main inspirations for staying positive all the time, because she understands that being positive can have a tenfold effect.

3. Her hustle is an inspiration

On the days that it feel like I can’t do anything, I know that I can turn to a number of her videos to give me a pick me up. Her vlogs are a constant reminder that she is not just talk. She works hard every day on a number of different projects and in the end she accomplishes all her goals. Seeing her do her work, inspires me to push through the times where I feel like giving up.

4. She Makes me Laugh

Most of her videos are hilarious. On my off days when I am not my normal happy self, watching her videos make me smile. Even if it is for one moment, watching videos continuously will change my day.

5. She reminds me that I’m not the only one who feels the way I do

In her “Voices” video, Lilly tackles what I'm sure are just some of the voices that I think everyone hears on a daily basis. And every time I listen to the video, it's a reminder to me that I'm not alone. It can be hard to find someone to relate to most of what you’re going through. But it’s not just in that video but in a lot of her videos where Lilly is just as relatable as your best friend.

6. She’s basically a Unicorn

Even though her fans are referred to as her unicorns, Lilly is the ultimate unicorn. And I think most of us strive to be like her, even if what she wants is for us to be our own person. But who wouldn't want to be a unicorn? She works so hard everyday to make her family proud, she’s positive and crushes all her goals. If that’s not a unicorn then I don't know what is.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
