These A-list celebrities have definitely started some trends in 2018 & below are some eye-catching styles to look out for this brand new year!

1. Feathers

Pluck, pluck, it's time for feathered accents! Feathers are making a come-back this year, & celebrities like Kendall Jenner, are not afraid to strut it. As seen below, she is wearing a black piece by Revolve, when she attended the Revolve Awards. Despite the dress being monochromatic, the feathers amp-up the whole look just a step & give it an elegant, yet bold aspect. We must be careful to not over-push the boundaries with something as eye-catching as feathers or you might just end up looking like Big Bird in 2019.

2. Neon colors

It's time to illuminate the world around you! Don't be shy to break boundaries with bright colors this year. Yes, I understand that we're all used to wearing black & that it matches with everything, but this 2019, we're going to shove that idea aside. Celebrities like Gigi Hadid was definitely not under-stated with this outfit she rocked down New York streets with. Hadid turned heads with this all-orange outfit by designer Ronald Van Der Kemp, and we're most likely bound to see even more bright colors like these from other people this 2019. So, brace yourself & start hunting down those neon pieces that will make you the attention-grabber off the streets of your city.

3. Wide-brimmed hats

Trying to make a subtle, yet fierce statement? A wide brimmed-hat might just be the perfect option for you & Emma Watson is truly serving us a taste of it. Watson is seen celebrating International Women's Day casually in sneakers, a white short-sleeve top that says, "My body, my choice," & a wide-brimmed black hat that transforms her look all together. Hats are becoming a must-have accessory this year as brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, & Saint Laurent have released them on their spring 2019 couture runways. Watson made the right choice to add this little accessory to her look in order to make a few bold statements for her Instagram post.

4. Tie-dye

Step aside, 90s fashion trends have just entered the building! Tie-dye clothing is back this 2019 and so is Bieber-Fever. As Justin made his way to just grab a quick drink at Starbucks, he surely grabbed our attention with a full-on tie-dye sweatshirt and sweatpants. This pop-icon has all given us a sense of hope that our love for tie-dye has not completely died out yet. Despite going overboard with the tie-dye madness, this singer has undoubtedly taken us back to all of our 90s childhoods. This trend will take over the hearts & wardrobes of many more celebrities & you this year.

5. Animal print

Animal-print pieces have never died out and we will not put up the R.I.P sign this year for it just yet. Affordable brands such as Zara & Steve Madden to luxury high-end brands like Tom Ford & Carolina Herrera, have just unveiled their animal print pieces in New York Fashion Week. Whether it's on a top, bottom, or even accessory, the animal print is a fun trend that can also be extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at. Chrissy Teigen was seen wearing an animal-print skirt piece that eliminated any dullness out of the look. Matching it with a black long-sleeve turtle-neck, black boots, & a black shoulder purse, Teigen walked down the streets of New York City looking unforgivably ferocious. She certainly made a statement with this animal-print skirt, which made her strong personality shine through. Don't be afraid to come out of your own comfort zone and attempt to add some animal print to your own looks too, it might just be a change of step from boring to lively.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
