Luke Perry, 52, passed away on Monday, March 3rd, from a massive stroke he had on the previous Wednesday. The 'Beverly Hills 90210" and "Riverdale" star will be missed by many. He will be remembered as a TV icon and as a kind person. A large handful of celebrities have taken to Instagram and Twitter to post about the heartbreak of his death. All of their kind words proved that Perry influenced a large number of people, changing their lives for the better.

"Watching him on 90210 was one of the reasons why I wanted to move to LA."

Ryan Seacrest, the host of 'American Idol', as well as the writer and producer of the popular reality show 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', took to Twitter to share his condolences for the passing of Perry. Knowing that Seacrest viewed Perry as a role model and as one of the reasons he is in the place he is now is touching. If only Perry was alive to know the impact he had on others.

"He paved the way for us."

You might remember Ross Butler as Zach Dempsey from '13 Reasons Why' but he also played Reggie in season 1 of 'Riverdale'. He posted a picture of Perry on his Instagram to show his respects. He acknowledges that he did not get to work with Perry much since he left the cast after the first season but his words are so kind. "We lost an original today. A legend. He paved the way for us." Well said, Ross.

"God please give him a seat close to you, he deserves it."

Ian Ziering who played Steve Sanders on "90210" opposite of Luke Perry commented on the loss of his friend. His post was sentimental and kind. 30 years is a long time to have a friend, I cannot imagine how it feels to lose that.

"I’m finding it hard to grasp that he will no longer be around to give long hugs and share his wisdom and kindness with all of us."

Lili Reinhart, 'Riverdale' star, tweeted about Perry to pay her respects to his family and share her devastation. She also posted on her Instagram story a poem that was deeply moving. A portion of it went like this: "And I pray that he is silently moving in tandem with us. Guiding us through the waves even when we can't swim." Girl, you are making me cry.

"He glowed from within."

Perry's costar in the Lifetime movie 'A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride', Joanna Garcia Swisher, is also mourning the loss of her colleague and friend. She posted a picture from the TV movie on Instagram to honor the loss of this very special man. She also speaks about how much he loved his children which truly shows his character.

"Luke Perry was a kindhearted and incredibly talented artist."

Leonardo DiCaprio and Luke Perry worked on the Quintin Tarantino film that is set to be released in July of 2019. This will be Perry's last film role before his passing. The movie will be a great tribute to Perry's talents when released. DiCaprio's tweet shows the skill that Luke Perry possessed and how kind he really was.

"When I was lucky enough to work with Luke Perry I told him about the pillow of his face I used to sleep with..."

Leslie Grossman worked with Perry when he cameoed on 'What I Like About You' and she shared this humorous memory of the late actor. She became famous and then met her celebrity crush and told him about it, how cute is that! Little memories like this will keep Perry's legacy alive for years to come.

"Luke is one of the most kind, down to earth and hard-working men in this business."

Justin Baldoni tweets about the level of commitment Perry had for his work, as well as his attitude. His tweet was perfect as it paid respects to his loved ones and shared his thoughts on the actor. Perry will be greatly missed.

"You were that guy, that forever friend..."

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star, Kristy Swanson, posted this loving photo of her and Perry from the movie. In the film, Perry played Pike, Buffy's first (and arguably best) boyfriend. Working on this movie together created a longterm friendship for the two actors and I am sure he will be terribly missed.

"I’m struggling with this loss and am having a hard time with my thoughts."

Shannen Doherty, Perry's co-star and romantic interest on the show "90210," posted a sweet tribute on Instagram with photos from the show. She says that she was blessed with his light in her life and that it will be hard to process this loss. Perry influenced so many people that we do not even realize.

"Luke Perry was humble and kind every time we crossed paths."

Scott Foley tweeted about Luke Perry's passing as well. This short and simple tweet shares the true respect and love he as well as many, had for Perry. Sometimes fewer words are better and Foley hit this right on the nose.

“Rest Luke — the same way you always treated me"

Donnie Wahlberg posted a picture of him and Perry on a television or movie set with a lighthearted, but tearjerking, caption. He jokes about how Perry was peaceful and calm to all those he met, even those who were excited beyond belief to meet him!

"You my friend were a mighty soul and have left your mark."

"90210" co-star, Gabrielle Carteris, posted about her late friend. She says, "you have left your mark", which is more than correct. He is going to be so missed by the Hollywood community and all his fans.

"I had a crush on him for so long and working with him was a dream come true."

Ashley Tisdale, 'High School Musical's' Sharpay Evans, posted on Instagram a tribute to Luke Perry himself. She talked about one of her first jobs being with Perry and shared how he is humble and kind. That seems to be a reoccurring theme in posts of the tributes to him. We should all want to be remembered this way.

"One of the kindest most gentle souls this world has ever known."

Robin Givens, who worked with Perry on 'Riverdale' shared this sentiment. Simple, sweet and to the point. She shows the world how kind Luke Perry truly was.

In light of Luke Perry's passing, these celebrities and many more have shown their respects through sentimental, comical, and loving social media posts. Perry was a light to this world and will be missed.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
