On the evening of November 8, 2016, a lot of people were devastated to find out the results of the presidential election. Donald Trump was thought to be way behind Hillary Clinton but he surprised many American citizens and even other countries. Due to this, some celebrities are planning to boycott the inauguration of Donald Trump's presidency.

The day after the inauguration which is set for Jan. 20., citizens plan to flood the streets of Washington D.C. for a Women's March. About 100,000 people are expected to join the protest. Female stars such as Cher, America Ferrera, Scarlett Johansson, Chelsea Handler, Debra Messing, Julianne Moore, Katy Perry, Amy Schumer, and more are expected to show up and take over the Women's March.

Chelsea Handler wrote a piece on the subject and stated, "One of the saddest things about November 8, aside from the very presence of Donald Trump on the ballot as a major party American presidential candidate, were the women of America who somehow managed to vote for Donald Trump," following with, "We don’t just have a problem with men supporting women in this country; we have a problem with women supporting women."

CNN exit polls recored that more than 52 percent of white women and 25% of latino women voted for Donald Trump.

Cher also had much to say on twitter about the presidential results.

She has posted countless updates expressing her feelings about trump. She's even had some backlash for it. Piers Morgan, born in England and known for being a judge on America's got talent, was one of the more obvious ones. He replied to Cher's posts on twitter telling her to "pipe down" and called her an "absurd specimen".

Other celebrities such as Mark Ruffalo, Alec Baldwin, and a Michael Moore have organized a March of their own, a guys' march, outside of trump tower the same night of the inauguration.

Some say celebrity protesting wont do much while others are hopeful that they will have a larger impact on the American people.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
