My memories of Valentine's Day are trying to get all the candy possible in elementary/middle school. In high school, it turned into "Single's Awareness Day" according to one of my friends. As I've gotten older, and even though I've met a significant other, I have realized Valentine's Day is about love as a whole, not just romantic love.

Here are 25 ways you can love EVERYONE including your significant other on Valentines Day:

1. Send your grandma a handmade card from the heart.

2. Call your mom, she misses you and wants to know what you're up to.

3. Have a romantic comedy movie marathon with your BFF and have a good laugh.

4. Treat yourself to a nice meal.

5. Netflix and chill with your significant other.

6. Talk about the latest football game with your dad.

7. Ask your sister what's been going on in her life and how school is.

8. Ask your brother how his life is going and how work is.

9. Go bowling with your significant other. Friendly competition is fun!

10. Pet dogs you see on your college campus and ask the owners about them.

11. Take advantage of Valentine's Day sales and treat yourself.

12. Take care of yourself and get a new look to boost your self confidence.

13. See how your little cousin's new puppy is doing.

14. Play 21 questions with a new friend.

15. Go on a walk with a group of friends to the bookstore, but with no phones.

16. Treat your friend to food or coffee.

17. Go to the movies this weekend and watch a non-romantic themed movie.

18. Or watch a romance movie.

19. Be creative! Make cards for all your friends but make them personal to each friend.

20. Make a home cooked meal and have all your loved ones over.

21. If you can't have loved ones over, cook dinner for you and your roommates.

22. Write a list on everything you love about a family member, friend, or significant other and give it to them as a present.

23. Write a list on what you love about yourself, Valentine's Day is about you too.

24. If you really don't want to celebrate Valentine's Day, you can take the holiday to get your homework done and get ahead of everyone else on your homework.

25. Love yourself! After all, as the drag queen Ru Paul always says, "If you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else? Can I get an amen?"

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
