The last time Cleveland won a championship title was in 1964 when the Cleveland Browns won the NFL championship. To put that in retrospect it, was three years before LeBron James' mother was born. Cleveland has the saying, "there is always next year" but this year ended up being it. It was a record-breaking comeback in the three-to-one series against the Golden State Warriors. Everyone had doubt except those fans who believed from the very start that Cleveland would bring a trophy home this year, for the first time in 52 years.

Two years ago LeBron James wrote a letter to his fans in Cleveland, he said he was coming home and that he would bring them a championship. In LeBron's words, he said the title of MVP felt like he was home. Kyrie Irving said that this was his childhood dream. To many Cleveland fans, they have literally waited their whole lives for a Cleveland team to bring back a title to the land. It is very fitting that Cleveland has earned the nickname "Believeland."

Believeland has been in a drought and it is finally nice to say that the drought has ended and the rains of winning are falling on the Land. While some warriors fans, or wives for that matter, feel that the series has been rigged, remember this one thing: No Cleveland team has had anything go in their favor or rigged for them ever since sports came to Cleveland.

For the first time in forever, the Cleveland Cavaliers are NBA Champions. At the end of the day, I am sure most of you will hop on the growing bandwagon for the Cavs and go out and buy every champion shirt that you can find. To the true fans, it will never be about the shirts. It is about the hope that this series has given many fans, the hope that Cleveland can become that powerhouse of teams that can match their fanbase.

All in Cle has been trending and rightfully so. Cleveland not only rightfully won the title but they truly deserved it. The Cavaliers began their season with many bumps and challenges, a coach fired and the blending of new players. The kid from Akron brought everyone together. The rookie coach was asked to make winners out of the Cavaliers and you can see he made that happen.

From now on Cleveland will now have the hope that they can win a title. Who knows? Maybe soon enough we will see the Browns in the Superbowl and the Indians at the World Series. This I do know, the spirit of Believeland is filling the homes of fans around the buckeye state.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that.
