i am going to answer the life time question of cats v.s. dogs, which pet is better.
Are you a cat person? Do you crave companionship but no love? Are you an introvert or do you find the urge to clean yourself but hate water? Then I'm sorry to say this but you may just be a cat person.
Are you a dog person? Do you crave love and companionship? Are you an extrovert or do you find the urge to stare while you poop? Then you may just be a dog person.
Now to get to the facts.
Water
Cats hate water right? Actually no, what most cats do not like is the smell and water logged fur from a bath. Some breeds of cats, usually warmer climate breeds, actually enjoy the water. Even big cats like tigers can swim.
Dogs love water. The reality of this for most dog owners is a sad no. i remember attempting to get a dog in a bath and just watching those terrified eyes telling my to stop. Like cats, there are certain breeds that enjoy the water more than others.
Now to get to the dirt of things.
why do cats poop in a box and why do dogs stare at their owners when they go?
Just like how dogs like to mark their territory, cats do too. They do this by burying their feces and spraying. Dogs, behind that toothy grin, actually feel vulnerable when pooping so they look to their owners for protection.
Now the fluff.
How much do they love you?
Cats, even though cats love their owner, they can't express their love like dogs, but it might interest you to know that cats learned to purr for their human companions. Most big cats don't purr past the age that they are kittens for their mothers, but cats love us so much that they purr, cuddle, and rub on the ones they love.
Dogs are a particularly social animal. They show affection by jumping, playing, and even wigging their tails and as long as you're not taking them to the vet, they're always happy to see you. It's almost like having another child that never grows up.
Though dogs and cats have their differences, they are both awesome pets to have. Cats are independent and dogs are children and you need time for them. So it's up to you to decide: cats, dogs, or both.
