Why I'm A Cat Person

I love dogs too, but cats are just a bit better.

Why I'm A Cat Person
Kitty Talent

Cats are beautiful animals. I truly don't think that there is a cat that isn't beautiful. They are graceful (most of the time), quiet (also most of the time), and loving. There are only a few times in which I have seen a cat be just one or none of those things and it has been a result from the treatment of a previous owner. Most people blame cats for being independent and low-maintenance, but how would you like it if someone constantly tried to get you to do all these certain things? I like my independence, and I like my cats to be able to do their own thing.

I'm a cat person because dogs can be really overwhelming. That's not to say that I don't like dogs, but dogs are always so so happy and excited to see you. Sometimes you just need a little purr and rub from a cat to welcome you home and say hi. Cats don't jump up on you and lick you like dogs do. They don't require the same amount of attention, you don't need to take them on walks or teach them manners. All you have to do is litter box train them and you're set. They're not the type of animal that needs to learn anything. I was able to litter box train my cat in just under 2 weeks just by putting her in there after she ate and woke up. The only other "training" that I've heard cats needing is having to get a scratch post for cats to scratch if you don't want your furniture scratched up and you don't want to declaw your furry friend.

Just because I'm a cat person however, doesn't mean that I don't like dogs. I have had 3 dogs in my life and I love them all dearly. I even want more dogs just as I want more cats, but let's just say that if I had to pick between a dog and a cat, the cat would win. I couldn't even tell you why I'm more of a cat person, they're just generally more appealing to me. It could be that they're much more low-maintenece than dogs or it could be they're more cuddly and loving than dogs (in my opinion).

All in all, I love cats more than I love dogs because I have a very similar personality to that of a cat than a dog. I can be very energetic and playful at times, but usually I like to lay down and sleep. Getting to share and enjoy all my favorite activities with my favorite animal is why I'm a cat person over a dog person.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
