For most college students, the first day of class is approaching and the move-in process has started. Undeniably one of the biggest cons of living on a college campus for me is that I can't take my two kittens with me. Although I'll miss having them around, here are some things that cats do that no one should do on a college campus.
1. Don't get inside every box you see when people are unpacking.
2. If you want to bring a welcome gift to your roommate, don't bring them a dead animal.
3. Don't run up to someone to socialize the second they sit on the toilet.
4. And don't play with their toilet paper either.
5. Instead of bathing yourself in front of everyone, make sure you use the community showers.
6. Make sure you let your other roommates or hall mates use the shower too - don't bathe them.
7. And don't lick the water from the shower.
8. When it's time for a meal, don't beg for everyone else's food when you already have some.
9. And don't insist on drinking water from the sink.
10. Don't scratch up your furniture or your roommate's things.
11. When people come to your room, don't hide under the bed. They would probably rather study with you than try to find you.
12. If you decide not to hide from visitors, don't swat at them.
13. Don't hiss at them either. Even if you're in a bad mood.
14. And, please, actually acknowledge your visitors, though it may be tempting to ignore them.
15. Curl up on your own bed instead of hogging your roommate's bed.
16. Or on clean laundry.
There are quite a few things you can learn from your cats. Though they teach you how you should love others and still not care, they also do things that you should not.
