Becoming Christians

School is already in session and summer has ended. Professors are piling up us college students with homework or complaining how we do not try hard enough.

"Do you have a lot of stress?" or " worry you will never be good enough?" Well, God thinks you are worth it and he will help you get through any situation.

1. Matthew 6:33-34

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble on its own."

This verse shows when you seek God above everything else, he will provide for you and help you. You have enough to worry about in one day to think about tomorrow, so put your trust in God that everything will work out.

2. Philippians 4:6

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God."

This verse also applies when you are stressed over a test, struggling with homework, or worried that you will not make it, if you are thinking this take it to God. So next time you are worried about your next test, pray to God about it and he will reduce your worries.

3. Jeremiah 29:11

"I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future"

This shows God is in control of every situation. When you submit yourself to him, he will watch out for you and not let any situation harm your future. Saying this, he will not let any test that you have failed to be the ending of your future. He is looking out for you always because you are his children.

The next time you are worried, have stress, and anxiety give it to God or look at these verses for reassurance that God is with you. When you give your life up to him, he will take care of you everyday so do not worry about the little things. Also, pray to God because he does answer prayers even if it something little as making it through the day.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
