A Case Of Bad Luck

In life, one must go through their ups and downs. And let me tell ya, being a superstitious person myself, once you hit your downs it's hard to get back up. Bad luck is real folks and once you've experienced it it's hard to deny it. Bad luck can come in threes, or it can come all at once and hit you like a train.I've learned if I'm having a lot of "ups" and positive things are occurring, it won't last too long. This was proven once my good luck ran out and a series of unfortunate events began to occur in my life. (One being in a huge car accident right before final testing). Maybe it's that lucky bracelet you didn't wear with you or that unlucky sock, but the world may never know if bad luck, karma or superstition are actually real. One day you may feel as though the whole world is against you and wants to see you fail, and the next you may feel like you've conquered it all. Bad things that happen to you can really knock you down, and those experiences can put you in a slump. It can feel impossible to get out of a slump, but with a positive mind you can see the good in every bad situation.

Bad luck happens a lot in life, especially when you step back and realize how lucky you really are. People often take things for granted, but once bad luck strikes hard, it opens your eyes to how fortunate you truly are. The key is to grow from bad luck. In ways, bad situations can make you stronger, build your character and open your eyes to the world. If you think of it like this, in no time you'll be back on top! Don't let this bad luck cloud hover over you because, alas, everything is a balance!

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement.
