Some people prefer to get their motivation from listening to music, exercising, or even past experiences. I, however, get my motivation from reading articles and watching inspirational videos online. My main goal is to keep leveling towards my highest potential and to become an influencer along the way.

What is an influencer?

According to Influencer Analysis,

"An influencer is an individual who has above-average impact on a specific niche process. Influencers are normal people, who are often connected to key roles of media outlets, consumer groups, industry associations or community tribes."

I strive to be the motivation to someone else one day. Goals much?

When I can't seem to focus on my work and I feel like being in college is taking a toll on my mentality, I get on the internet. Yes, I prefer e-books over paperbacks. My eyes are just attracted to the light and it keeps my attention. The internet has played an important role in how I go about my actions and thoughts everyday. Throughout the day my best friend Google has linked my to so many articles and quotes that could help me in any situation. Motivational speakers on TEDTalks has become a go-to of mine. These men and women are entrepreneurs, inspirational leaders, and talented individuals that are not afraid to share their secrets to success. Being The route to being successful should not be a selfish process, how else would you gain a following?

I often find myself on pages such as Forbes, Business Insider, How To,Odyssey, and LinkedIn for inspiration. These have helped me with resume building, branding, personal growth, and even social relationships. I'm sure you would also love to know how you can better yourself in every way each day. These are just a few of the many, many sites that has helped me out.

It's not about how many sites you look up a day or post on Instagram, it's all about how you take that information and make it happen. Your name and reputation is all you will have that really matters in life. Teach yourself something new today that will better you tomorrow and moving forward. Make the decision to #BossUp today, now, and forever !

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
