This past Saturday, I graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, technically. I mean technically because I am missing one requirement class for my major and I am taking it over the summer, but I still walked at graduation. The fact of graduating didn't hit me until I was putting on my graduation robe and cap. I couldn't believe four years flew by so quickly. I remember when I was a freshmen at Clarion. It was my first time living away from home and I was scared.
I wasn't always the best with distance, when I was younger, I was terrified of being away from home and my family. Clarion University really broke me out of my shell. I made numerous friends my freshman year that went on adventures and made my life on campus so much better. I am thankful for these people that have come and gone through my life and made my college career full of fun and support.
My college career was full of late nights of homework, crying and repeating. It was a lot of hard work, determination and the support of my friends, family and professors that got me through the last four years. I am thankful for all of the opportunities that Clarion has offered me during my four years. I had the opportunity to fulfill a dream of mine, which was working for Walt Disney World and I was able to still keep myself on track to graduate and gain some on the job experience.
Clarion University, I will miss you and you will always be a home away from home. I am glad to have been accepted and completed my degree at this institution. Thank you for the amazing four years, but it's time to start a new chapter in my life.
It's been real Clarion, CU later!
