What It's Like To Have An All-Carb Diet

Living in a collegiate apartment with limited cooking skills leads to occasionally (okay, always) eating solely bagels, cream cheese, and Eggo waffles, leading to slightly low blood sugar and a total lack of protein, aka a lot of wooziness. It's a tough life eating an all-carb diet, leading to numerous side effects - dizziness, a need to eat every three hours, and roommates constantly having to remind you to eat real foods (which usually also involves them cooking it). Coming to college with next to no culinary skills (sandwich and Poptart making are specialties) is unexpectedly difficult, and now it's a rough realization to have to solve the stove, master the evil toaster oven, and not get burns while making frozen Tator Tots. Along with all the teasing comes the worst denial of all- bread. Having to say no to my best friend gets harder every day, but if it's an honest endeavor to start eating like a real person, I suppose it's worth it.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
