It's summertime, and not only does your skin get darker and constantly smell like sunscreen, your Instagram is sure to display it. Instagram is among the most popular ways to capture a moment and share it with friends, all while adding a unique filter. Not only does thought go into the picture posted, the caption is usually crafted just as much. What goes into an Instagram caption, you might ask (as if you need me to tell you)?
Usually, Instagram captions either describe the picture or simply state a quote or song lyric they love. Anyway, here are some captions I believe I'll see many times while scrolling through my Instagram feed.
"It's 5:00 somewhere."
The perfect excuse to be drinking, even if it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Basically this says, "I know it's a little early for my margarita, but in my head, I am on a beach and it's 5 o'clock, so don't judge me"
"Summertime and the living is easy."
No one has to know that you're secretly taking 12 hours of summer courses, and that you have a retail job. This caption with a picture of you at the pool or on the lake will have everyone thinking you're living up the summer life.
"Sunny and 75."
Who doesn't love a good, country, warm weather anthem? This caption goes perfectly with a picture of you and your sweetie on the beach or at the pool. People will see your Instagram and visions of warm weather and bikinis will dance through their heads.
"Where bare feet and sandy toes rule."
If you use this caption with the inevitable picture of your feet halfway in the water, please make sure you recently got a pedicure. We suggest bright pinks, oranges and purple polishes on the toes so they stand out with your Reyes filter.
"Beachin.'"
Self Explanatory. The only people who don't love the beach are people who are actually just sad that they're not on the beach. True facts.
"Everything is hotter when the sun goes down."
Hint, hint. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge. The best way to tell your Instagram followers that some serious late night, beach shenanigans are about to happen--all under the guise of a Kenny Chesney song.
I'm not saying that using one of these captions on your picture will gain you more likes, but then again, I might be. If you used one of these captions for your picture, good for you! Chances are, I did too!
