I Highly Recommend 'Captain America: Civil War'

Ladies and gentlemen, I come to you having witnessed greatness. I have just seen probably the best piece of artwork made on this earth. I am of course talking about the pinnacle of nerd culture "Captain America: Civil War." This movie has been on the top of my list of things to see, to the point that I have avoided studying for finals to go see it. This was a decision that I do not regret at all, it’s probably one of the better decisions I’ve made this week. So considering I need to write an article for you guys, and the fact that I just need to talk about this movie, I am here to give you the best review that you will read. Also, I will keep it spoiler free (anything in trailers is open for my use, though).

I will start off with the obvious…this movie was f***ing amazing and jaw dropping. Marvel studies put to work on this movie. Anthony and Joe Russo deserve an Oscar for this. This film was a love letter to the fans of comics and to movie goers alike. The movie itself felt organic and fresh. In order to give some sense of order to this review, I will start off with the positive of the movie.

The overall acting of the movie was great. The actors flow together naturally and keep the conversation feeling organic. The actors brought out the true potential of each character to the point you really couldn’t disassociate them. The movie makes it a point to let the characters and there interactions are definitely a strength of the movie. The movie has a huge ensemble cast (it puts the original movies combination of characters to shame), and each actor brings a great piece to the pie. Iron Man of course brings his own brand of whit, however he is balanced out by Captain America’s straight forward nature.

Another character dynamic that should be noted is Vision and The Scarlett Witches. The two function in the movie as the lost sheep and fish out of water awkward people. It isn’t bad, but works in favor because it makes for a heartwarming screen presence. Even Spider-man (this is not a spoiler, I reserved the right to mention him because he was in the trailer) with his amount of screen time had interactions that had me believing this new kid is going to be a great fit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe ( I don’t give this out lightly because Andrew Garfield was my boy).

The hands down best part of the movie has to be the fight scenes, and trust me, there is a lot to them. The movie starts off with a pretty nice fight scene that gets you excited for more. The part that you really will love is that highly advertised team fight, yeah the one from the trailers. You think that the trailer gives it away, but no there was so much more to that fight scene. It is arguably the best part of the movie, because it is shot beautifully. In the fight you scene everyone, you are left getting so much exposure to these characters in a 20 minute scene.

The character fight is hard to describe, but it left my jaw on the floor with how well done it is. It was fast paced but gave you enough of the unique skill set that each character had that you were satisfied. There is even a point where the movie gives you the iconic civil war picture (all the comic fans know which picture I am talking about) in one of the scenes, and that was a great love letter to the fans.

As much as a hate to say it there were so awkward/bad things. The first thing that comes to mind is that it does not follow closely with the comic book plot line. You get the overall reason for the start of the disagreement between the two sides, but as the movie progresses you see a new villain step forward. From my limited knowledge, this villain was not a huge part of the original story, but Marvel finding a way to put one of their less popular villains into the movie, albeit in a different way.

Another small point about the movie is the fact that it is pretty convoluted. The plot starts off simple and then evolves into a big web of intrigue. That causes the movie to be fairly long, and every time you think it’s done it hits you with more. Sometimes it gets a little exhausting, but it worked well.

Overall, the movie was excellent. I highly recommend that you go see it. Like ,stop wasting time reading the ending to this article and go see this movie. I will most likely be there because it is that good. It was a love letter to fans, and well I hope us fans reciprocate the love because I do.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
