I try to do everything on my own, but it never works out how I plan. I write out a to-do list, I work through any issue I find, and yet I still fail. But why?
James 4:13-17
13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.
When I plan things, I do not ask God if it is something He wants for my life, so why not start? Why not ask God to show you His will and not just look at your own plans?
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Do you have hope in your life? Do you see your future in front of you? Look towards Him, because He knows the plan. God is not going to make a plan for you to hurt you, God is not going to make a plan to spite you, but you cannot put God in a box.
I cannot do anything in my life. But I know I can do all things with God. He knows the plan for me, He is in control, and I want to give everything to Him. It is hard, but you can do it.
Hey God, it’s me [your name here], I do not know what the future holds, but You do. I cannot do it alone. I want to do life with You. I love you. Thank you.
