I just want to clarifyL this article is not a political agenda. It is not about whether who you voted for. It is not about anything in particular in that.

This rape culture has got to go.

This is about something that one out of every six women go through. One out of every ten men go through this, too. Every two minutes somebody is sexually assaulted. You see my point here.

This needs to be eliminated. "Boys will be boys," is not a thing. Taking advantage of somebody while they are intoxicated, even if they say yes, is not okay. Sexually assault is not right.

So why is this not making sense to anyone. What makes somebody say, “Oh well she is wearing this, so she deserves to be mutilated.” Who in their right mind thinks it is okay to just to do that to anybody? Stop the cat-calling, stop the hollering, stop the violence.

I am sick of having to think two steps ahead before walking home, or before passing an intimidating group. I am sick of blocking out the hollers. I am sick of hearing people say that sexual assault is okay. It does not matter if it is said or done, it is still not okay. It makes people uncomfortable, depressed, broken.

The effects are devastating. See something, say something. Let us make this place a safer world to live in. No more statistics. No more numbers. Just kindness and decency.
