It seems that lately, a lot of people have been talking about their Zodiac sign.

They're everywhere from Buzzfeed quizzes that promise to tell you what kind of ice cream topping you are based on your "star sign" to articles indicating what other signs you're best compatible with based on the characteristics of your own.

For a while, I didn't think much about my Zodiac sign and how it corresponds with my personality, but after a little bit of research into what other Cancer signs are like, I realized that everything about my star sign describes me to a T. Surely, no two Cancer signs are exactly alike, but for the majority of us, here are 29 signs you're a true Cancer:

1. You're all about home.

2. ...meaning you're 150% a homebody with NO shame in the fact.

3. You're caring and passionate, which sometimes doesn't work in your favor.

4. You're usually the "mom" of your friend group because of your nurturing nature.

5. You wear your heart on your sleeve with pride.

6. You can be SUPER emotional, even over the silliest of things.

7. Your family and friends are your first priority at all times.

8. You're exceptionally moody at times.

9. ...especially when you're jealous.

10. You LOVE getting your way.

11. You're quick to retreat into your shell at the slightest bit of confrontation.

12. ...which is why Cancer's Crab mascot suits you perfectly.

13. You have a tough exterior but are super soft on the inside.

14. You vary between being dependent on others and extremely independent.

15. ...and when you do depend on others, it's usually for emotional reasons.

16. You make a good companion for others who can adapt well to your varying moods.

17. You're loyal AF.

18. You're always the first to laugh and the first to cry.

19. ...in fact, your tear ducts have a mind of their own.

20. You're strong-willed and let nothing stand in your way.

21. You'll do anything to protect your loved ones.

22. You're sympathetic, sometimes to a fault.

23. You value a sense of security.

24. ...and may even be great with your money.

25. You value your alone time.

26. Everyone turns to your for help because they know you're always willing to lend a hand.

27. ...though you tend to get overwhelmed easily.

28. You're not a fan of change.

29. But, at the end of the day, you're always able to trust your gut, and what's better than that?

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
