Can The Nats Win The Series?

7 reasons why they can

While some might see this as a long shot, I like the Washington Nationals' odds of taking it all the way. The Dodgers will be an easy opponent to pass. The Dodgers have carried both series against the Nats this year. With it being tight overall, the Dodgers were 4-3 against the Nats. This season both series came before the Nats really had a groove, in August, through the end of the season. After this 5 game series, they will have to take on the winner between the St. Louis, Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. The Nationals preferably want St. Louis, as Atlanta has been more of a struggle for the Nats. Ultimately, I think the Nats' toughest challenge will be themselves, and beyond that, if they can beat the Dodgers, it will most likely be the Astros or Yankees. I like the Nat's odds.

1. Max Scherzer is the guy you want pitching when healthy.

The Nats probably have the best pitchers between the Dodgers, Astros and them. I believe with the Nats' hitting ability, they can do this.

2. Strassburg is one of the best pitchers in all of Baseball.

A perfect game in the wild card proved his worth, not that he hasn't been hot all season.

3. Trea Turner's ability to be anywhere and everywhere to make a play.

Trea turner's constancy on both offense and defense is going to be essential.

4. The play making skills with people like Anthony Rendon.

Anthony Rendon looks to be showing age, but still has a high motor and can be big in the teams success.

5. The Tenacity of the team.

The Nats are very determined as it's been heartbreaking every postseason.

6. Ryan Zimmerman can still hit.

While he hasn't been starting 1st base lately, he has still hit well when called upon.

7. Most Importantly, the 20 year old savior.

Juan Soto is 20 years old but has a lot of fire in him. He made a huge play to win the wildcard, and he is earning some major respect. He has to hit more consistent. He has done well this season but struggled last night until the game-winning play.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
