When you think back to kindergarten, you remember hating nap time, loving recess and thinking that all boys have cooties. Now you're in college... Internships and paying bills are on your mind as well as becoming a responsible adult. Amidst of all the grown up work, you are just wishing that you could go back to the time when the biggest struggle was getting a grass stain on your new Children's Place jeans.
Can you believe you hated nap time? I mean HATED nap time. Your dislike for napping was like being a Colts fan looking at the Patriots. You wanted to go and play with your bff's on the pimped out playground your school just got. Think to now. Many college students say that napping HAS to be a part of their day or else they are out of their minds. Busy day? Doesn't matter. A quick 15 minute nap is going to squeeze it's way into your day, even if it means stuffing a Boar's Head sub in your mouth in under five minutes.
To have fun now, you have to spend an hour or so to get all dolled up and go out with your girlfriends to let out some of your steam. Why couldn't it be as easy as walking outside of your class to climb on the monkey bars or play tag to prove you're the best on the grounds? The simpler times were so amazing and we didn't even know it.
Boys having cooties made life also very simple... I think you can understand why. Less drama, more happiness. The gentleman on our campus can cause some major strife in some girls lives. So, I’m just going to leave it at that.
With summer coming up, many are thinking about the summer internships they wish to receive to further their career. It’s all about thinking about our future now than trying to get the best tan possible. So while there may be some perks of growing up, I think I speak for many when college students wish they could go back to being little kindergartners wondering about life. Because let’s face it…
Playing with Barbies > Paying bills.
