My mom is LITERALLY my best friend. Okay, that may seem cliché or super cheesy, but she is always my go-to person.
When I am having a rough day, I call my mom.
When I am having the best day, I call my mom.
My mood can be all the way from happy to sad, and I will still find a reason to speak with my mom.
Being away at college has been tough, but very rewarding.
I say rewarding because of how tight the hugs are from your family members when you have not been home in a few weeks and the happy tears that may be shed.
Also, how excited your pets get when they see you. For example, pulling up in my driveway back at home and seeing my dog with a toy in her mouth waiting at the door to greet me with her tail wagging uncontrollably. Then, my outside cats running to my car and standing outside my door waiting to rub on my legs.
Thankfully, I have my mom to keep me up to date on all of my fur babies and send me pictures of them even when I do not ask for them.
It is just the little things that brighten my whole day and remind me how truly blessed I am.
While I miss all of my family and pets, I know our space away from each other is needed. Everyone needs their space, even family members.
My mom and I have our differences every once in a while, but what mother and daughter don't? At the end of the day, I am so thankful to have such an amazing relationship with her, and I cannot tell her how extremely appreciative I am for all that she has done and continues to do for my brother and me.
This was for you mom, I love you. XOXO
Right now, I advise you to all go call your mom, hug your mom, and thank your mom.
For those who do not have a good connection with their moms or no longer have their moms, I pray that you find someone who warms you up with kind words and gives you great advice.
As long as you have a special person like that in your life, then it will help you get by and allow you to always have someone to call no matter what the mood may be. You are loved, God's got you!
