This Year's Presidential Candidates If They Were Disney Villains

The presidential election this year is looking more and more like a children's movie. From the bluster, to the arrogance, to the downright diabolical campaigns, the presidential field is looking more and more like prototypical antagonists in Disney films. In order for us to truly understand the next president of the United States of America, we should understand who they really are, deep down inside. So let's take a look at all of the presidential candidates this year, if they were Disney villains.

Donald Trump - Gaston from "Beauty and the Beast"

Vain, rude, and chauvinistic - he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Sure, Gaston might have just wanted the girl while Trump wants absolute power, but let's not get into semantics. The two boisterous personalities charm many, but intimidate the few who are reasonable enough to step back and understand what these men truly advocate.

Ted Cruz - Randall Boggs from "Monsters, Inc."

Lizard people who thirst for power all the while scaring children. Need I say more? These shifty, slimy individuals will do anything to gain wealth and power, whether it's ethical or not. Plus, they seem to be the only real alternatives to the crowd favorite, be it Mike Wazowski or Donald Trump.

Marco Rubio - Zurg from "Toy Story"

They're both robots, and they're both on a mission for power, even if it means they have to tear down the audience favorite. Furthermore, they both have a place in my heart, despite their ultimately flawed approaches to defeating their foes and gaining control of power over Planet Earth.

John Kasich - Yzma from "The Emperor's New Groove"

Disgruntled and outcast, and with little to no support save for the admiration of a brainless meathead, these two pale politicians try what they can to remove the egocentric, rich, wannabe tyrants from power, but are ultimately unsuccessful. It's all quite a shame, though. I would've liked to see a Kasich/Yzma ticket in the general election.

Bernie Sanders - Lotso from "Toy Story 3"

They both seem like nice guys, and they make plenty of promises that seem way too good to be true (probably because they are). From Lotso's loving demeanor serving only as a veil for his cruel and tyrannical desires, to Bernie's portrayal of himself as an honest man among crooks in order to veil economic illiteracy, these two old, decaying creatures are two are peas in a pod.

Hillary Clinton - Hades from "Hercules"

Literally the devil.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
