As we progress through our journey, we have begun to reorder our priorities. We have not begun to build our permanent living structures as of yet. Furthermore, we have begun two low-overhead businesses. We started a sustainable garden operation, while simultaneously running an internet based import/export business. Our original plan was to already have started building, but things had to evolve in order for us to sustain the building of our homestead.
Originally this created turmoil between us. However, we have collectively taken the stance of being mindful and aware of the present moment. It is an amazing feeling to even have the opportunity to be creating residual income streams. We understand that others don’t have the same opportunities that we have.
This is definitely a journey of financial freedom and, on the other hand, a spiritual one as well. It is important that as a group we stay spiritually aware as well. For example, too often are we consumed by our daily tasks to build (structures and businesses) that we forget to live and enjoy right now. We disconnect with the natural environment and don’t enjoy the spiritual oneness and beauty that can be observed in nature.
Ultimately, we want our lifestyles to inspire others. Da Iweda will not be fully functional overnight, but the journey in itself is a platform for us to connect with others. Every step of the journey is a moment in time to be treasured. Throughout the journey, we will definitely have to remind each and ourselves of that, but for now, we are grateful for the present.
