Why California Is The Best Place In the World

California is without a doubt one of the most interesting and diverse places to live. The state of California has much more to offer than other states in the US. California has numerous large cities, such as Los Angeles, san Francisco and more. The state is filled with experiences, through traveling the mountains or simply roaming the cities. California teaches people a different sense of lifestyle, whether that means living in the state or just visiting. With all the different atmospheres and diverse regions inside and out of California, that state has become known as one of the most amazing places to live in the world.

Even though California is not Greece or the Caribbean islands, the state has award winning beaches and famous mountains. Because California is located on the western side of the US, geographically, the state has both hot and cold atmospheres. People can develop skills in water sports and snow sports almost parallel to each other. I’ve had friends travel after snowboarding in Tahoe in the early morning to driving four hours and surfing in the late afternoon near the coast. While this seems like a lot of work to me, the point is that its possible to do. California is so well equipped, that someone can bike up and down the coast and never feel lost. California is all around a place for people with all interests, those who love nature, and those who love big city life and more.

California is also a place of diversity within the general population. The state is diverse in color, and diverse in lifestyles as well. California, mostly due to its history, is a place of redemption. Many people have travelled and immigrated to California for numerous reasons, one of them being that the state has so much to offer and so welcoming. Immigrants from all around have traveled to California to make a better life for themselves and have inherently created an amazing diverse public throughout the state. Most California schools, in mostly the larger cities, carry and schools hundreds of children from all walks of life. People of different backgrounds all come together to learn and grow under the same models. This is one of the most amazing things about California, the diversity between the academics. While the state has much more room to grow publicly, so far California has created a place of growth for all people and all ages.

On top of being a place of diversity, the state has also been the birthplace of popular culture and helped develop the film industry. Today, California is known less for its diversity among regions and people, and more about its creation of celebrities and rich culture. This is another reason people admire and inspire to be in California. The opportunities of becoming part of that industry and atmosphere is a very appealing quality. California is an all around amazing and beautiful place to visit and live in. People aspire to come to California for many of the reasons written here. The diversity throughout the state in all aspects, adds to California’s influence on the rest of the world as well.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
