Today, many of those who claim high-status on social media typically use their popularity by becoming advertisement connoisseurs through their platform, and although the self-beneficial utilization of one’s means is a quality I well respect; the occasional encounter of an admired social network user who chooses to give back is extremely refreshing to witness. One of those well-known users is Caitlin Beatles, founder of the non-profit organization, Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery. With over 300k followers on Instagram, Caitlin has spent the past four years developing a philanthropic association that’s goal is to better the lives of abandoned and abused animals, using her social media platform to promote it. While speaking with Caitlin about her attempt to rescue neglected animals, I decided that Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery was an organization that everyone needed to know about.
Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery originated in 2013, the inspiration for the organization stemming from a very personal incident in Caitlin’s life. After enduring such physical trauma, it was Caitlin’s mother who suggested she involve herself in charitable work. “After my accident, my mom felt led to start a nonprofit for me knowing I would not have the chance to take the traditional path most teens take” Caitlin explained to me. After spending time on a mission trip, her love for animals and children both became extremely evident. Her rehabilitation and very personal realization of wanting to aid those suffering is what ended up shaping the foundation that is Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery.
The past four years, Caitlin’s generous organization has tirelessly worked to rescue, rehabilitate, train, and bring aid to neglected animals in need of what we all wish we could to every single one of them: love and a home.
As if Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery couldn’t sound more wonderful, the foundation’s main goal in animal rehabilitation is to train the rescued animals that are capable, into service animals. Once qualified, the organization aims to match the rescued animals with a child that can be physically, mentally, and or emotionally beneficial from a service animal. In terms of the dogs that are not suited to be service pets, Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery holds events that promote adoption, in hopes that loving homes are found for the animals who are ever so deserving. The charity’s adoption guidelines stand firm, but the non-profit foundation does not charge high fees for adoption. However, in order to adopt, a small donation of $75 to the charity is required; a very small contribution to pay for the rescue of an animal and improving the lives of others.
Ever since hearing about a charity that does so much to improve the lives of such precious animals, I felt it was very important to pass on what I’ve learned about Caitlin’s Vine of Bravery in any way I could. To make a donation, or to find out more about the organization, you can do so at www.caitlinsvineofbravery.org. You can also donate to the organizations amazon wish list, (link located on their website); in which they are in need of toys, food, collars, leashes, and even beds for the animals. Many of these dogs are in desperate need of foster homes. With that said, if you are interested in pet adoption, fostering an animal, or are in the Atlanta area and want to put forth your service as a volunteer, I strongly encourage you to visit their website to learn more about how you can do so. The world can definitely use more people who make their purpose to do good for others. So, I hope that Caitlin’s generosity and kindness inspire you to show your support and to also do good of your own!!
