There is a secret to what keeps students going throughout an entire semester of 8 a.m.'s and all-nighters- caffeine. While the well known answer to this widespread campus "on the go" epidemic is coffee, one barista isn't fit for everyone. So, if the obvious energy drink is not an option and you can't take the bitterness of a latte, these might be a few "stay awake" options for you.
1. Dark Chocolate
The cocoa bean contains natural caffeine. So, the darker the chocolate, the more caffeinated your candy bar. If the natural caffiene isn't enough to keep your eyes open, try an Awake caffeinated chocolate bar.
2. Bee Pollen
While not an immediate source of energy, such as a caffeine jolt from coffee, consuming bee pollen daily will increase your overall health and energy levels. By supplementing essential amino acids and vitamins everyday, your body will be able to perform at a higher stamina with good health.
3. Green Tea
While only about a third of the amount of caffeine as coffee, green tea brings more to the table in terms of antioxidants and nutrients. Sweeten it with honey for natural sugars and an extra boost.
