You always need more than one place where you can post up and have a nice cup of coffee. Here are 5 places you should definitely stop at.
1. Alchemy

Of course, I can't start my article without first and foremost mentioning this beloved, Lawrence born coffee and bakehouse. Check out one of my earlier articles for details on how Benjamin Farmer and Joni Alexander founded this Lawrence gem of a cold-brew coffee house.
Expanding from their first coffee cafe featuring an extremely close and cozy atmosphere, perfect for those early crisp and cool fall mornings, Alchemy Store #2, located directly on Mass Street features a roomier and soft-lit environment. Hopefully, you will be one of the many people making up the coffee and bakery loving crowds that are currently flocking to this hot and trendy cafe.
2. Java Break

Next up is Lawrence' beloved Java Break, featuring a vintage 1980's style that hooks in those wanting to a laid back, quiet, and comfortable study nook to suffer through all-night study sessions. Java Break is open 24 hours a day, so come on in even if school isn't in session.
If you're a fan of Snicker bars, they brew a mean snicker bar hot or iced latte with your choice of vanilla or chocolate whip cream. I mean, do you know of any other coffee cafes who offer chocolate whip cream? I dare you to name three others.
Also, the vintage television playing black and white animated cartoons all day and night is the cozy cherry on top of all the amazing and Lawrence unique features this coffee shop offers.
3. Wake the Dead

If you wanted food to help soak up your over-caffeinated bod, just check out this year- round spooky coffee cafe, bakery, and restaurant, all combined into one! It's like a hodgepodge of our most foodie daydreams.
Aaannndddd, do not get me started on their donuts. Ironically, my first trip to Wake the Dead was during the Month of the Dead, October. I enjoyed this amazing vanilla frosted coconut filled donut garnished with a complementary set of plastic red vampire fangs.
But grab your favorite donuts while you can, because Wake the Dead kills their donut flavors every week to make room for new and tasty victim donut batches.
4. The Roost

Now I know what you're probably thinking and you're right. The Roost is primarily an amazing and extremely popular breakfast cafe, almost impossible to get into during the weekends after 10:00 am as a matter of fact.
But what you probably know less of is their signature latte's they promote. The one time I was able to get in there during the weekends, I ordered a vanilla lavender infused latte and let me tell you, that was the best first impression I have ever received from a breakfast cafe in..my...entire...freaking...life.
So head on over to the Roost (please make it before 10am for your own sakes). You will not be disappointed in the food OR latte department; and while you're there, grab that vanilla and lavender hot latte and think of me as you experience a taste of heaven. You're welcome.
5. La Prima Tazza

Last but not at all least, my preferred Prima Donna coffee plaza, La Prima Tazza. This adorable little french styled cafe deserves so much more attention than what I believe it's getting right now.
If you're looking for a fresh, crisp, and dainty place to sit up straight and get some serious work done this autumn, La Prima Tazza will provide that productive work atmosphere paired with the most adorable latte foam designs.
Plus, I just love the fact that you can purchase the very beans they use to make their in-store coffee. Then, after a hard day's work, you can go home and re-create that delicious French press coffee you experienced. What a great caffeine infused way to end the day.
