6 Cafes To Visit In Auckland, New Zealand

No matter where in the world you go, coffee is always the first thing on your mind in the morning. Here are a few of my favorite cafes in the city of Auckland, New Zealand.

1. Remedy Cafe

This CBD café is right in the heart of Queen Street in downtown Auckland. This tiny, homey café is perfect to stop in and grab a cup of coffee to go or sit and enjoy. They have seats right next to the window, which is great, especially to just sit and people watch. There is so much activity going on that this view will never get boring! These lovely baristas serve a great breakfast and lunch menu. My personal favorite was the cranberry, brie and bacon sandwich, absolutely delicious!

2. Mondays Wholefoods

This health conscious café is in the suburb of Kingsland, New Zealand, but the extra bus trip is definitely worth it. These options are organic, healthy and unique! The have many different coffee options, including the beet red latte! This clean and modern atmosphere makes it great for someone to sit and work for a while. I found myself totally in awe with the natural light and decorations that were used throughout this café.

3. Little Bird Unbakery

This café makes it easy for people will dietary restrictions to eat happy, healthy, and delicious. The kimchi pancakes are so good I constantly crave them from the other side of the world! I love how I can eat something so delicious and it be so healthy for my body! The wood and brick mix gives this place a rustic modern vibe. It is a great spot to meet up with friends or sit in for a business meeting! There are a lot of seating options so get in early because this place will fill up fast!

4. Cereal Killa Cafe

Without a proper recommendation I would have never stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall milkshake café. Located in Mount Eden, this instagram famous place can get very busy during peak hours of the afternoon! These milkshakes are absolutely huge! The menu items change seasonally, but are always paired with the best toppings! They have a peanut butter chocolate, nutella, strawberry and so many more! They top them so high with candy-floss, rock candy, marsh mellows and sprinkles galore! This is a great place for someone with a sweet tooth like me. It always helps that they are decently priced and easy to find!

5. Shakey Isles

I love this quaint little café because it is right in downtown Auckland and near the water. They have great breakfast options and superb coffee drinks. It is a very homey café where I felt I could read and write in for hours. The natural lighting makes it feel very open and welcoming for anyone.

6. Hello Sunshine

This is not your typical café, actually it isn’t a café at all. It’s a rooftop bar, however the view is absolutely spectacular! I highly suggest checking this place out. It is located on floor six of Base Hostel on Queen Street. The bar overlooks the famous Auckland Sky Tower. Between the hours of four and six happy hour is in full affect and drinks are very cheap!
