Let’s just start off by saying I was HIGHLY medicated on drugs for most of today.
So, my experience may be a little different from Austin's or my mother’s, who were both there the entire time.
My surgery was scheduled for 9:00AM this morning, December 16th, but I was required to be there at 8:45AM.
Naturally, my mother being the person she is, made us get there 40 minutes early just incase they took us early.
To say I was anxiously nervous waiting for someone to take me from the waiting room would be an understatement.
Around 9:00AM, a tiny lady in blue scrubs took me to a room labeled “Surgery Room #1” and hooked me up to all sorts of machines that made me even more panicky.
Soon after the nurse finished, the head surgeon entered the room and put laughing gas over my nose to calm my nerves.
Austin then came over to give me a kiss, because the doctor recommended he did to calm me down, and before I knew it, I was KNOCKED OUT: This is the only memory I have after being attached to the machines.
Upon waking up, I was groggy, very very very confused, and from the countless videos filmed, loopy beyond belief.
When I'm escorted out of "Surgery Room #1", I was greeted by Austin and my mom while they took me out to the car to drive on home in order from me to get rest and hopefully slowly ween off my loopiness.
All in all, I am really grateful for my mom and Austin and how they took care of me when I really needed them.
But make sure that if you see them soon, you ask them about their experiences and most importantly, to watch the videos from today because you’ll surely get a kick out of it.
Although getting my wisdom teeth surgery came with swollen cheeks and embarrassing videos filmed by my loving boyfriend, the many servings of pudding and ice-cream will surely make up for it.
