Bye Bye "Parks and Recreation"
Bustle

Well. We did it. We finished watching all seven seasons of “Parks and Recreation” today. I have a lot of feelings about it. When we first started watching it, I didn’t know what to expect. My boyfriend, Zach, had already seen most of the episodes from seasons one through five, but the show was brand new to me. I really liked “The Office” and was hoping that “Parks and Rec” would make me laugh like “The Office.” And it did.

The series finale had everything I could have asked for. We got to see some of the show’s favorite guest characters in the episode before the finale, so I am glad the finale was able to focus on the main characters. I thought it was so perfect that they showed what each character would be up to in the future. I feel very satisfied with all their stories.

I LOVED each character. They are all so likable and I genuinely cared about what happened to each one of them. It is hard for me to pick a favorite, but I would probably have to choose Ron. He is just so funny when he isn’t trying to be. It is also hilarious when he gets sappy or excited about anything.

I also really love Donna. She is sassy and tells it like it is. And treat yo self!

April and Andy are such a cute couple and #relationshipgoals. They both really love each other and always support one another in whatever they do. They are weird and their weirdness is what makes them a perfect pair.

Same for Leslie and Ben. Such #goals. They also support each other and make sacrifices to help each other out.

Tom just makes me laugh. He is so cute with all his little made up words and love for fashion.

Jerry. I will always remember him as being Jerry. What a silly man. But when you think about it, Jerry was probably the best person in Pawnee. Gayle apparently noticed.

I hated Rashida Jones’s character on “The Office” so I was really skeptical about how I would feel about Ann. She was great. Such an amazing friend to Leslie and she balances Leslie out. Chris was also hilarious without trying to be. I was sad when Ann and Chris moved away. But I’m glad they came back for the final show.

I thinkkkkkk I might like “Parks and Recreation” more than “The Office.” I know, I didn’t think that could be possible. I just found myself more invested in the characters. The show was also just the right about of funny while still having a strong story. If you need a new show to binge watch, "Parks and Rec" should be it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
