Goodbye To Bowling Green As I Graduate
Mollie Mason

For the past four years, Bowling Green State University has been my home away from home. When I first stepped foot on campus, I knew that this was the place where I belonged. The people were friendly, the academics were challenging, and the campus life was intriguing. Little did I know that my time at BGSU would be the best four years of my life.

As I navigate through campus on my way to my final, final exams this week, I can’t help but walk a little bit slower. It’s like taking a stroll down memory lane. I pass the dorm that I lived in freshman year and cringe (just a little bit) while thinking about all of those crazy adventures that I had there. Remember the first night out downtown? Even though that is a memory that I wish to erase from my brain, I smile just thinking about it. Thank god I can (somewhat) handle myself now. That was just the beginning.

Sophomore year was a whirlwind. The classes got tougher, and the stress became more intense, but I continued to enjoy every moment. Just when I thought I was at my breaking point, I was able to fly through junior year with ease. And then before I even realized it, senior year was here.

As hard as it is to admit it, there is a last time for everything. I went to my last homecoming parade, tailgate, and football game. My final fall semester as an undergrad came and went faster than I wanted it too. Spring semester was full of wild nights out, more laughs than I can count, and so many tears that I don’t think my eyes can physically produce anymore. My time at BGSU is ending, but before I go, there is something that I want you to know.

Cherish every memory, every friend, and every experience that BGSU gives to you. Know that every tear filled all-nighter and bad grade are worth it. Take time to enjoy what the campus has to offer, and it’s okay to spend a little too much money at the bars every now and again. Campus food is not as bad as you think it is, and you might even miss that “mac ‘n’ cheese pizza.” Cheer as loud and obnoxiously as you can in the student section because I guarantee you that there will be alumni who wish they still could. If you’re lucky enough to find your Falcon Flame, don’t let them go. Work hard, play hard, and be successful!

Bowling Green State University has shaped me into the person that I am today. Even though my time here is up, BGSU will always hold a special place in my heart. I have met some of best friends and made some of my best memories here. Wherever I may roam, BGSU will always be my home! Bye, BG! I’ll miss you....

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
