Instead of buying your summer goodies from basic name brands, shop Sand Cloud's online store. The company is a beach towel and accessory brand that donates part of its earnings to four non-profits that focus on beach, ocean, and marine life conservation: Marine Conservation Institute, The Surfrider Foundation, The Pacific Marine Mammal Center, San Diego Coastkeeper.

In addition to donating 10% of their profits, the company sells "#SaveTheFishies" stickers and includes that message on their product tags in order to help raise awareness. Because of this philanthropic mission, the company's appearance on ABC's "Shark Tank", and widespread support on social media from brand ambassadors and customers, the brand has become a success. Not to mention, they have some pretty cool products.

Buying Sand Cloud's products for your beach trips helps to take care of those beaches, so you can keep enjoying them year after year.

Product prices currently range from $22-99, excluding $6 "#SaveTheFishies" stickers which you should definitely get for your phone or laptop! When I first saw the prices on these items my cheap self who was on a college student budget was a little annoyed. Really? 40 something dollars for a beach towel?

But then I realized Victoria's Secret or Tospshop or really anywhere else I see fit to shop at because of the supposed quality of products or brand name would cost just about as much without donating any money to help a cause like marine life. With Sand Cloud, at least you know you're getting quality and, hell, Forever 21's beach blankets are only a $2-7 less than Sand Cloud's beach towel blankets. So why not?

Beach towels are the company's focus, but these towels aren't just towels.

They not only double as beach blankets but can be worn as scarves, skirts, or even maxi dresses too... if you know how to get creative. In addition to an average-sized towel, you can get an XL towel or an even wider XXL towel (all shown above in order) for more room or for you and your friends or S/O.

The company even makes a towel that transforms into a backpack. Throw the rest of your towels, the rest of your Sand Cloud goodies, your swimsuit, or flip flops in here and you're ready for the beach without having to dirty a perfectly clean bag. I don't know about you but sand NEVER seems to disappear from my normal bags no matter how many times I clean them out.

In addition to their unique blanket towels, Sand Cloud has a bunch of fun and useful summery accessories.

These jewelry items are all 100% handcrafted sterling silver. Right now, the website is stocked with the adorable whale tail and turtle necklaces but more are sure to be added to the soon. If jewelry isn't really your thing, a bunch of cute hats will be up in no time too and white whale tail design baseball hats are still in stock!

The water bottles have the company's "Save The Fishies" catch phrase on the wooden top. This bottle and a blue stainless steel bottle with a whale tail design are both 100% BPA free, 15 ounces, and built to keep your hot drinks hot and cold drink cold.

Take advantage of Sand Cloud's weekend sale now until July 4th to get 44% off any towel, water bottle, etc. while products last or use my personal discount code MorganGrn25 at checkout! The products shown above are just what Sand Cloud has in stock today— New product designs, colors, and ideas are added all the time so keep an eye out by following the company's Instagram.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
