"Why are you wasting your money on that garbage you call music? Why do you feel a need to keep going to all these concerts? Don't you get tired of them? Aren't they expensive? Why cant you just listen to the radio, it's free you know. Why are you supporting these people by giving them your money and attention?"

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and blah.

Those are just some of the common questions and statements adults say and ask to teens and young adults when it comes to concerts. Personally I find it super annoying. However, I don't find that most adults are very hypercritical when it comes to things like this. Think about it. Our parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, boss', teachers, they were all teenagers at one point in their lives! I guarantee they went to concerts, listened to music that their parents thought wasn't considered "good music" and they probably had the same debate with their parents like you're having with them now.

But, you have to do what makes you happy. If going to five concerts weekend after weekend in one summer makes you happy (I'm one hundred percent guilty of this), then you go for it! Make the most of every concert you go to! I myself, treat every concert as if its my last one I'll ever go too. I know, so dramatic, like as if that will ever happen. But, you have to make it fun! Doesn't matter what kind of concert, rap, country, EDC, Pop- artist, doesn't matter! It's your time to enjoy yourself. When it comes to concerts only you can control the level of fun you have. With that being said, it's always best to go to a concert with people that you know will have fun, that will dance and sing with you at the concert, video tape everything and take pictures. The more fun people you bring, you're more than likely to have a great time.

But also remember this, you're only a teenager once, you're only young once. You won't always have opportunities to go to all these concerts when you get older. So yeah, spend the money, buy the ticket. Buy a t-shirt while you're there, wear a cute outfit too, and make the most of the whole concert experience. Why does it matter what other people think? Take the day with your friends and go enjoy yourself. Travel, go local, do whatever you think would be fun! You never know if your favorite band will have another concert next year.

So forget about all those silly questions your parents and other adults might ask you. You don't owe anyone an explanation for you having fun. You're a teenager - a young adult! Go out and have some fun. Buy that concert ticket, make the most of every minute, and dance the night away! Make the most of that night, it's not just the performers concert, make it your concert!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
