Sleeping. What is sleeping? Why do we sleep? Why can we never get enough of it?
Sleeping seems like this strange phenomenon we’re all active and what not and then we go and lay there unconscious. Or are we unconscious?
Every person has had that crazy dream, whether it be the one where you had real fun doing something that can’t be done, or one that seemed so real that you couldn’t tell if you were sleeping.
Don’t let your dreams be dreams, just do it! Our dreams might as well be the recollection or even reformatting of thoughts. The brain is very strange in the way that it works. We need sleep, but are there certain ways to sleep?
Most people sleep on a bed and sleeping has become standardized to be this way. You can sleep on the grass, you can sleep on a chair, and you can sleep on a Snorlax.
Dreams are windows into other dimensions, dimensions that don’t even exist until we dream them, countless innumerable dimensions. They are gateways into realms of infinite possibility, realms where what is real and what is unreal are one in the same thing.
It becomes merely an interpretation of thought, one that is infinitely free. Now this opens up the mind to thinking in darkness because there are no limits, it can fall into a trap that ultimately leaves you awake at 2:48 in the morning with a pounding heart.
Some people sleep a lot, some people don’t sleep at all, but regardless, people sleep. Perhaps instead of worrying about all of things that go on, when it is time to sleep, simply sleep. This will make your respite much more enjoyable.
But what if you’ve never been asleep? Does that mean that you are awake? What does it mean to be asleep? Does that mean only physically? What can it mean?
What if I don’t belong here, but I belong there, in that world, or that dream? What if I belong where I’m not? This cannot be possible, because all realities come from this one. The mind beholds reality, and the physical location of the mind is that where it is currently located. This cannot be changed, so regardless of our longings of our location, we must realize we must be here to have these longings.
What if there’s nothing more, what if the meaning of life was to have awesome dreams? What if you worked so hard just to get to end and then you never dreamt anything?
Sleep. It is the greatest and scariest thing you can do, from waking up with a shadow over you only to find out that your eyelash fell into your eye. Waking up to find you don’t have a headache. Or waking up because in your dreams you could hear blood curdling screams and the suffering of the world.
These are all occurrences from sleeping. It’s a wild ride, so you’re going to need it. Now go, get some sleep.
