This is just what I think

When you hear business major what do you think? Less of a work load? Easy major? Well even if these are true it's not all fun and games with business majors. We may not have heavy work loads but especially with the field I'm going in it is harder than you think.

First off, this may not be true for most people outside of business majors, this is just my opinion. Business majors may seem like they don't have much to do but we actually deal with the stress of getting jobs more than academic stress. To be specific I'll tell you about my major. I'm a sport management major and that right there should say something. When you think sport management you think, "Oh, that's cool."

Some thoughts can be, "What jobs can you get with that and where can you go?" In business, I can think of at least 10 jobs that I can obtain with my degree. The upside is that my major isn't going anywhere. As long as sports are still being played then this field will continue to flourish. The downside is that it's a very hard field to get in to. Every year you have thousands of new college graduates who will want a job in sports.

It can be difficult but it's going to be worth the hard work you put in. Aside from my major let's get back to the subject matter. People as to what I feel always think that people go into business because it's an easy way out. That's not true at all. Again, it may be an easy major but it's literally everything you do, wear, and have. That iPhone or Android you're use is a product of business, those new Nike shoes, the same thing. Even the schools we go to at all levels of education. They're all a part of a business.

The hospitals, organizations, you name it, were all businesses. Okay so what I just said is pretty much known already. I'm just emphasizing the importance of business in the world. To put it one step higher the government is actually a business. You have trades, you have to worry about the economy, the laws that are passed are even part of business. Essentially every person in this world is part of a business. Again, this may not be true for everyone one, but it is true business is everywhere and is in everything.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
