Men: Improve Your Bumble Profiles

In This Article:

Okay guys, let's talk about your Bumble profiles, because women are swiping left when you have so much potential for them to swipe right! I'm going to list some very important and simple ways for you to turn your profiles around.

NEVER leave your bio blank

First of all, you're banking on women thinking you're THAT attractive that personality doesn't matter. On top of that, you're hoping they're interested in a complete stranger that won't list a single fact about himself...

No bio = swipe left

Make sure you identify yourself in the photos!

Do not only put group photos on your profile because no one wants to guess which guy you are. Imagine you meet a girl in person (if she even swipes right with all those group photos) and she thought you were your friend? AWKWARD.

Even if you do identify yourself in the text options, you should have at least one photo of just you, maybe even a selfie.

Only group photos = swipe left

Start with a good photo

No one wants to see your photos get progressively better, because frankly, they probably won't scroll long enough to get to your best one. I'm not going to give you a lesson on taking selfies, but trust me, some angles are MUCH better than others.

If you really like the photo, then great! There's nothing wrong with getting a friend's opinion either.

I suggest using just a good photo, and save your best for the middle of the ones you include.

Horrible first photo = swipe left

Yes, you should answer all of the standard questions

I hate to break it to you, but height does matter to a lot of people, men and women included. So just put down your height, because no matter how great your personality is, some women will meet you and won't give you a second date based on height alone. I'm sorry it seems unfair, but you'll find a shorter girl one day!

You should also include if you smoke, how much you drink, if you want a relationship or not, if you want kids one day, if you love pets, and what your religion is because THESE ARE DEAL-BREAKERS FOR PEOPLE. Don't waste her time, and don't let her waste yours. Just be upfront and honest, and you'll find a girl that it all works out with.

Exclude basic info = swipe left

Smile with teeth in some photos!

If you never smile with your teeth, you either physically can't smile that way, hate your teeth, or are never happy enough to smile.

Unless you physically can't, you need to show your teeth, because smiles are SUPER attractive to other people. Smiles, hair, and eyes are immediately noticed, so flaunt the facial features you have!

Don't smile with teeth = swipe left

Maybe you read through this and think I'm way too picky about Bumble profiles. That's fine, but I know why I swipe left. Even if I'm an outlier, I'm not the only girl that has these reasons. Many of us think alike...try these things out and see what happens!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
