About a week ago, I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw a Buzzfeed video that one of my friend's had shared about Bullet Journaling.
Bullet Journaling, also known as BuJo, was defined by creator Ryder Carroll as "A customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and diary, but most likely, it will be all of the above. It will teach you to do more with less."
This system is designed to be all that you want it to be.
I was always someone that loved using planners, I'd buy a new one every school year. But I would get discouraged and stop using it halfway through. I either had too much space or not enough and it never seemed to be what I needed. I tried many different kinds and they just never felt right. When I heard about this, I thought it was genius!
As soon as I watched the first video, I was hooked. I spent the rest of the day researching everything that I could about bullet journaling. I found myself fascinated with different layouts and watching videos from people talking about calligraphy and the various kinds of fountain pens. It sounded like so much fun and I needed to have one.
A week later, I have moved on from just a plain grid notebook and black pen to a Leuchtturm1917 Medium A5 dotted notebook and various colored pens. I am obsessed.
There is so much that you can do with your bullet journal.
People usually will start with the Index, or Table of Contents. This is useful to find your calendars, lists and other spreads.
How you fill up the rest of your journal is up to you! But here are some other pictures for a little inspiration! :)
For more ideas, check out the official website, bulletjournal.com, or check out the boards on Pinterest, or use the hashtags #bulletjournal or #bujo on Instagram and Twitter. There are so many beautiful spreads out there. It gets pretty addicting, but it is so much fun.Grab a pen and a journal and get started!
