Turning 21 is a big milestone in America, and you can probably guess why. But, that doesn't mean you have to be 21 to start living your life. There are so many adventures to be had before the downtown lifestyle takes over.

1. Go on A Date

Yep, go on a date. I mean a real date. Get someone to pick you up, open your door, and drop you off before midnight.

2. Take a Weekend Trip

Find some cool people, and a place a few hours away and get away. Being with friends is always a good time, but there is something about being outside of your comfort-zone with friends that makes you realize how great life is.

3. Take a Hike

Leave your phone; grab a water bottle and hit the trails.

4. Find a Best Friend

There is nothing more important than the people in your life. Find a friend that makes you feel at home. Find a friend who will dance terribly with you, but also be your shoulder to cry on.

5. Get a Job

So, you haven't graduated college just yet, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't build your resume. Get a part-time job. Develop a work ethic.

6. Buy Something You Worked Hard For

It could be a car or just a pair of sunglasses. It doesn't matter what it is, but learn how satisfying it is to see your hard work.

7. Learn to Like Carrots

8. Learn Every Word to at Least One Song

Not only learn every word, but head bang while you sing it.

9. Let Your Parents Know How Much You Love Them

10. Attend a Wedding

Dance. Sneak a drink or two. See love in action.

11. Write a Letter

12. Cook a Meal

Be your own Betty Crocker.

13. Go to a Concert

14. Binge Watch a TV Show

Im talking first episode to last episode.

15. Learn to Love Yourself

Its hard and it is different for everyone, but you'll never really love life without loving yourself. As far as we know, we get this one life. Why waste your days wishing you were someone else.

16. Visit the Ocean

17. Play in the Snow

No, you don't have to be a child to enjoy the snow.

18. Start a 401k

Its never really too early.

19. Make a Drastic Change

Cut your hair, or dye it. Maybe wear clothes you normally wouldn't. Try things out.

20. Vote

21. Learn to Fail

Sometimes you have to fail to succeed.

We are fun. We are young. This is living. Live every moment to the fullest.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
