A Bucket List For Travel Enthusiasts

As someone who has grown up dreaming of traveling the world, it's hard not to make a list of all the things that I want to do. We live in a world with so many beautiful places to see and so many fun things to do, but the time we have to do all of them is so uncertain. Thinking about everything the world has to offer can be overwhelming, so if you're as big of a travel enthusiast as I am and are looking for a place to begin, feel free to use this as a starting guide to your many future adventures.

1. Swim in all five oceans

Unsplash

Whether you hate swimming or not, it would definitely be cool to say that you have been in all of the greatest bodies of water in the world.

2. Visit all 50 states in the U.S.

Unsplash

Every state is different and has something cool to offer; it would be amazing to get to experience a little bit of each one.

3. Go cave tubing in Belize

Unsplash

Although it may seem a little daunting, taking on this adventure would definitely be one to remember. Floating through the mysterious caves in Belize sounds calming and thrilling at the same time.

4. Walk the Great Wall of China

Unsplash

Getting to walk across one of the greatest man-made structures in the world is definitely a must. Not only do you get to say that you've done that, but you'll also get to see some beautiful, picturesque scenery along the way.

5. See the Taj Mahal in India

Unsplash

This famous monument is one that you wouldn't want to miss. It's picturesque site and historical significance makes it seem like such an amazing place for tourists to visit.

6. Step foot in every continent

Unsplash

This one probably explains itself, but how cool would that be? To say that I've seen a little piece of each part of the world is a definite goal of mine.

7. See the Christ the Redeemer statue

Unsplash

Religious or not, seeing this statue would definitely be an amazing trip. The figure, located in Rio de Janeiro, is considered one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, so you wouldn't want to miss out of seeing it.

8. Ride the London Eye

Unsplash

This capsulated Ferris wheel ride is on the top of my "must do" list when in London. Not only do you get to enjoy a fun ride, but at the top, you would be able to see an amazing view of the city below.

9. Look out over Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower

Unsplash

Visiting this well-known tower seems to be one everyone's bucket list, but it's a goal for me to make it to the top of the building so that I can look out over the city below me.

10. See the remains in Pompeii

Unsplash

This historic city seems awe-inspiring as visitors are able to explore all of the remains from the volcanic eruption in 79 AD.

11. Visit Santorini, Greece

Unsplash

Visiting this breath-taking city seems to be a travel goal for many—and I can see why! Its modern-looking hillside buildings and unique beaches make me want to visit this beautiful city, too.

12. See the Northern Lights in Iceland

Watching the natural world in action as the sky lights full of colors is definitely one of the top things to do on my bucket list. Especially from the gorgeous country of Iceland, this display is a must-see.

13. Walk through the scenery of Yellowstone National Park

Unsplash

This serene location attracts many tourists every year, and it's my goal to be one of them! I'd love to be able to enjoy the natural beauty of the park.

14. See the Amazon Rainforest

Unsplash

Seeing all the wildlife that is encompassed in this large rainforest makes visiting it a must-do, especially given the danger it's in for the future. I'd love to enjoy the tranquility of the forest and advocate for its protection.

15. Scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef

Unsplash

Like the Amazon, the Great Barrier Reef has some threats posed against it for the future. Being able to see this largest organism-made structure up close is a must-do before it's too late.

Clearly, though, this list is just a starting point for the many wonderful places that this world has to offer. The earth is full of beauty if you take some time to just look around, so make sure to enjoy all of it while you are still able to.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
