Ah, senior year. The year that, as a freshman, seemed so far away, but has come faster than I ever expected it would. It's a bittersweet feeling being a senior, but I'm so thankful to have spent the last three years at Shippensburg. Although it's not a big name school with 40,000 students, it's my definition of perfect. It's everything I wanted it to be and I couldn't have asked for a better undergraduate experience. As a way to commemorate all the good times I've had at Shippensburg, I've decided to make a "Senior Year Bucket List" to relive and enjoy the things I love most about Shippensburg and also to try things I never had the chance to do before.

1. Eat in the dining halls.

Both Reisner and Kriner.

2. Try every "small" food station.

All of the stations in the CUB, Chickendipity, Papa John's and Sub Generation in Kriner, and Century Cafe in Old Main.

3. Have a coffee date with a friend.

Try both Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

4. Have lunch or dinner in the Quad.

5. Have lunch or dinner outside of Old Main near the fountain.

6. Take a photo in the Big Red Chair.

7. Don't get caught walking in the fountain outside of Old Main.

8. See a movie at Orndorff Theater in the CUB

9. Go to a fun program being run at the CUB (for 21 year olds only).

10. Have a drink at every bar in Shippensburg.

These include Wibs, Orky's, UGrille, Arooga's, Hot Point and Knute's.

11. Explore the buildings on campus that you've never been in before.

12. Reconnect with friends that you made freshman year, if you don't already see them regularly.

13. See an Act V play.

14. Go to a football game and at least one other sporting event.

15. Participate in either Relay for Life or Ship MiniThon.

16. Befriend a freshman and show them the ways of Shippensburg's campus life.

17. See a concert.

Specifically, Fetty Wap. Who knew Ship was that cool?

18. Eat at the Shippensburg Select Diner.

19. Spend as much time with your friends as possible.

20. Enjoy every moment you have left at Shippensburg.

I know there are probably so many things that I missed out on (and please feel free to help me add more) because Shippensburg has so much to offer. But sadly, there isn't enough time to do and see everything. So here's to senior year and accomplishing the things on this bucket list! Wish me luck!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
