1. Dip your toes in Warnock Lake (but nothing more).

2. Fully submerge in State Lake.

3. Sit on the top of the shelter house at Jackson Park and look at BC from a new angle.

4. Order a sherbet limeade and Amelia Sandwich at Snowball.

5. Order 50 cent wings at Chuck and Hank's and then eat them outside.

6. Bowl for a dollar at the Bowling Alley on a Friday night (go to Maria's in the same night, so you only have to do laundry once).

7. Buy plates from Sacred Heart and then find a small Kansas town to smash them in.

8. Find St. Patrick's church (without a GPS).

9. Go to Cedar Ridge when you need a home-cooked meal on the weekend.

10. Have a pie night at Paolucci's.

11. Hammock in Abbeyland.

12. Stargaze on the football field.

13. Get to the 5th floor of Scho.

14. Find one of your teacher's names in the Signing Tower.

15. Get a 50 cent corndog during happy hour at Sonic.

16. Catch an Oktoberfest t-shirt.

17. Participate in one of the contests during halftime of a soccer game.

18. Get a caramel apple at Applefest.

19. Dress up for a nice meal and go to McDonald's. Bring tablecloths.

20. Hit golf balls into the river.

21. Go to the place where the sidewalk ends in Weston.

22. Make a fort in your room.

23. Win the caf game.

24. Play wiffleball on the outdoor basketball court.

26. Play in the lake that forms between Scho and Memo when it rains.

27. Have a sandcastle-building contest on the sand volleyball court.

28. Go to Daylight Donuts in the Morning.

29. Make a s'more at State Lake.

30. Get Willie's to go and eat it by the river.

31. Get an entire pot of tea at Daisy House Atlantic, and drink the whole thing.

32. Participate in the Atchison Christmas Parade.

33. Go to the Atchison Farmer's Market and spend a full $10. Have a picnic.

34. Make a trip to Walmart, then cook a full meal in your dorm.

35. Get an entire to-go box full of cookies from the caf and have a movie night.

36. Find the purple duck.

37. Run to Missouri and back.

38. Watch the sunrise at the Lookout.

39. Find a fun wall and take a fun picture in from the of it.

40. Sled down the hill by the football field.

41. Make a leaf pile. Jump in it.

42. Watch a play put on by Theatre Atchison.

43. Crash a wedding at St. Benedict's Church.

44. Get your nails done at Hi Nails. Spend a few hours watching movies there.

45. Study with a stranger.

46. Have a riff-off.

47. Go on a trolley tour.

48. People-watch on a Friday or Saturday night.

49. Go to Walmart and buy three things that will worry the cashier.

50. Don't steal the turtles from the fountain.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
