Amusement Parks. Roller Coasters. Funnel Cake. Three words that are jovial and delightful. Since I was young, I have always loved going to amusement parks. The drop on the tallest roller coaster is the thrill of it all and the funnel cake (you just have to love funnel cake). I have been to a few amusement parks but there are some that I have yet to conquer (or relive) and I aspire to do so.

1. Disneyland/world franchise: Yes I know, it's very surprising that I’ve never been to either. As of right now, I just enjoy Disney movies and songs but I dream of a day when I will be able to take a picture in front of the castle.

2. Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, FL: I went to the one in Virginia and it was an absolute blast (favorite ride was Apollo's Chariot). It is only right that I visit the 2nd location.

3. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA: I have been to Six Flags Great Adventure and the one in New England. It would be great to try something new since Six Flags Great Adventure is pretty much a regular for me. Two of my favorite rides at Great Adventure are Nitro and El Toro.

4. Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH: I have heard of this amusement park on multiple occasions. I’ve done research on this park and the rides look phenomenal. So soon enough I will see you Cedar Point.

5. Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA: I went to Kings Dominion 10 years ago and from what I can remember I had loads of fun. My favorite rides were Hypersonic XLC (which is sadly no longer there) and Volcano. Griffin is a thrill ride that I chickened out on and I regret not going on it till this day. I would love to go back and recreate memories at Kings Dominion.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
