Five Things That Should Be On Your Bucket List

In This Article:

Many people have hopes and dreams to accomplish before their life ends. If you're like me, you have your Bucket List carefully thought out. Bucket List's are important because they push people out of their comfort zone and remind people that life is not meant to always be lived in your comfort zone. Here are five things I believe every American should have on their Bucket List...

Visit every state in The United States

With 50 states making up the US, there is so much more the United States has to offer than what you are always surrounded by. I believe it is imperative for every American to be able to fully experience everything our beautiful country has to offer. From the beaches in California, to the Grand Canyon in Arizona to the Empire state building in New York, or even Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. With 50 very unique states, I do not want to feel like I was deprived of any American experience.

Skydiving

Skydiving is an experience that I want to have before I die. I believe it is important to face your fears and partake in things that get your heart racing. These are the things that help us make extraordinary memories. Even though I have a fear of heights, I still want to go skydiving because I do not want to die knowing I let my fears overtake my life.

Travel to Europe

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS757US757&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=VbQhW4v5AeWc5wL3sLOgBw&q=Europe+real+image&oq=Europe+real+image&gs_l=img.3...4907.8079.0.8674.11.11.0.0.0.0.289.979.8j1j1.10.0....0...1c.1.64.img..1.6.702...0j0i30k1j0i8i30k1j0i24k1.0.Yw4arYnfvpg#imgrc=hltXjHnIlYs8lM:

Although I believe it is important to visit places in the United States, when I traveled to Costa Rica I realized that other countries are full of different cultures and experiences. Europe is a beautiful continent comprised of many very famous countries like Italy, France and England. Being able to visit Europe before your life ends would allow you to live differently for the time you are out of the country. Exposing yourself to new cultures, foods and languages is another way to push yourself out of your comfort zone and really learn about the beauties of living.

Do a color run

S color run is another thing that I want to experience before I die. Color runs are full of energy and excitement. If you are like me, running long distances is not one of my strong suits so since the color run is 3.1 miles (5 kilometers), it is something I can accomplish.

Ride in a hot air balloon

Hot air balloons are always something I have found very fascinating. Being so high up in a semi-open environment would allow you to have a perfect view of your surroundings.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
